About Dr Deborah Egan-Klein
Dr. Egan-Klein has both American and French citizenship. She obtain her PhD. in Clinical Psychology in 2011 and has held a Masters Degree in Human Development since 1998. 
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
  • Since 1996  Deborah has been an Independent Psychologist / Psychotherapist  in private practice with 
       Adults, Couples, Adolescents and Children .

  • 1995-1999 Association Carrefour de Metz.  Deborah set up a Counseling Center for individuals aged from 13 years old to 25.  

  • 1998-2000   Deborah worked in collaboration with the psychologists of the American Hospital in Paris, where patients were referred to me for outpatient treatment.

  • 1996 - Part time private practice as a psychotherapist working with adults, adolescents and children.
  
  • Health Care Training Institutes for nursing students :   Taught Counselor training skills

  • 1998 - La Croix Rouge  (Metz, France)

  • 1999- Diaconesses de Reuilly  (Paris, France)

  • 2001- l’Hôpital Psychiatrique Spécialisé  (Dôle, France)  Deborah collaborated in setting up Counselor Training for the personnel / health care staff.  Teacher in the Training Center- Counseling and Listening skills. Group therapy for the students and Health care staff.
  • ​ 2002 à 2008  Occupational Health Care Professionals for the Financial Sector   
       of Luxembourg  (ASTF)- I  intervened after bank hold ups with bank personnel in 
       groups and / or  individually – Critical stress Management.  I set up seminars to 
       teach personnel managers, security, volunteers, crisis intervention.

  • 2005 à present  La MainTendue association in Luxembourg for individuals who have experienced violence, sexual abuse, physical abuse … I work with children and families, and I provide supervision and training for the staff.   

  • 2003 – 2012 Worked as a psychologist for NATO Arms and Material Supply Agency, where I set up an employee assistance program.  I worked with individuals and families deploying into a war zone. I also deployed to Afghanistan.

  • 2009-2011 The Center of Psychology and Education Orientation (CPOS) Supervisor for psychologists working in the Luxembourg school system. 

  • The International Society of Hypnosis (IHS), 

  • The World Association for Person-Centered and Experiential Psychotherapy and Counseling,

  •  The International Society for Ethical Psychology and Psychiatry, Inc. (ISEPP),

  • The International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies

  • International Association of Trauma Professionals

  • The International Centre of Excellence for Emotionally Focused Therapy, The Focusing Institute.
