RT Foundation Training is a 2-day workshop which also makes up the first two days of the 10-Day Clinical (practitioner) Qualification Training.
It is possible to complete the Foundation Training and come back at a later time to complete the remaining
eight days of training to become a fully Qualified Clinical Resource Therapist.
RT Foundation Training includes a comprehensive presentation of educational information needed to understand the formation and nature of Resource States, how they interact in the personality, and how best to bring them to the surface and communicate with them to affect change.
RT Training with a qualified RTI registered RT Trainer delivers learning processes in the following manner:
The following is an outline of what an RT Foundation Training workshop will teach:

The Foundation Training course is a required level of training for the Clinical Training in Resource Therapy.
Below are some additional skills and techniques covered in the Clinical Qualification Training, for those who continue to this more advanced level of training.
Completing the Clinical Qualification Training allows the therapist to be listed on the Resource Therapy International website (as well as into an international database. The web listing and database is a central location for therapists who have trained in RT as well as those choosing to specialise in Clinical Resource Therapy).
Specialising Resource Therapists often choose to go on to complete the combination certificate/ qualification of Advanced Clinical Resource Therapists & RT Trainer. Trainers receive a personal page on the RTI website as well as ongoing support and resources to enable them to train other therapists, professionals and students of allied fields, in RT.
There are four central Resource State Techniques that provide interventions for most psychological issues. The clinical training provides presentation, demonstration and practice for these four methods of working.
RT Clinical Qualification Training also includes specific Resource State techniques to help clients deal with a range of presentations. Participants will receive supervision for these techniques during the Clinical Training, and for those who choose to continue with supervision beyond the training, Resource State supervisors may be accessed for face to face, in supervision groups, or via Skype.
Areas of diagnosis and treatment covered in the Clinical Qualification training include:
RT Clinical Training includes advanced training skills that will help the therapist better work with Resource States. It is therefore highly recommended that therapists who find the Foundation Training useful in practice go on to complete their Clinical Qualification training at their earliest convenience. In this way, therapists who enjoy using the technique, and/or find it to be a powerful intervention and treatment therapy for their clients, will become more correctly engaged with the therapeutic techniques, as well as the theory underpinning the techniques, in order to effect more precise and positive changes to the needs of clients.
Helping Resource States keep their purpose to help, but learn to accomplish that purpose in a way that is helpful to the client to eliminate unwanted behaviour, and take care of unwanted feelings is an underlying tenet of RT. As an RT student you will learn about
The Clinical training in Resource Therapy is designed and presented to meet the needs of participants. That is, the presentation will vary in speed of delivery and detail to topic according to the particular group. Professor Gordon Emmerson, PhD authored all of the techniques that are presented. All RTI registered RT Trainers are able to give a depth of coverage and can respond directly to the needs of the group.
