Friday 4 September - Professor Gordon Emmerson -
Dealing with immediate crises using Resource Therapy
Professor Gordon Emmerson will give a full day workshop on “Dealing with immediate crises using Resource Therapy”.
In this workshop, Professor Emmerson will focus on clients presenting in an emotional state or in an ‘out of control’ condition, e.g. as a response to recent traumatic experience, panic attack, PTSD response, identity confusion, being bothered by voices or with a self-worth crisis. Therapists will have the opportunity to see the emotionality of clients as an open door to the issue that is disrupting the psyche.
On Saturday morning Dr. Gisela Perren-Klingler, an expert in trauma therapy, Professor Gordon Emmerson and RT- Therapists will give lectures.
In the afternoon, Dr. Perren-Klingler will offer a workshop on “Limiting belief-structures and dissociation”. She will explain how dissociation – which per se is not pathological – can become pathological when it served to survive chaotic or unsafe bonding in the childhood. Participants can learn to find generative belief-structures.
On Sunday morning Professor Emmerson will give a 3-hour workshop on “Dealing with self-harming behavior using Resource Therapy”.
